The poet Ctibor Štítnický would have turned 90 this year. He dedicated his lifework to love poetry, which he last published 50 years ago in his collection Ostaň tu ešte chvíľu (Stay Here a Little Longer). The period of normalisation did not, unfortunately, let this excellent poet publish his work. And so after years of silence and being forgotten in the world of Slovak literature, the publisher Regent decided publish a collection of his poets along with another, so to say, underground poems with the title A predsa ide jar. Despite their considerable age, his poems have not lost their charm or their erotic subtlety. It will certainly bring new life into the book market, especially a genre as established as the love poetry.
