The writer Bohuš Bodacz pays has a deep interest history and is able to transform his knowledge into a series of thrilling stories full of excitement and horror. His narrative involves gradation, a sometimes crude but catchy language and is able to truly captivate the reader. His book Veľká smrť offers to its readers three exciting and dramatic stories from three distinct periods in the history. Despite being informative for the modern readers, they are full of a perfect scenery of stories as well. The first novel is set in the Ancient Egypt. The second – the core – story is set in Germany in the period of witch-hunting. The stories convince their readers that the author truly knows the period, its relationships and other circumstances of the dark Middle Ages. The third story is about a Templar knight. All the three stories share death, but also humanities and evil passions, and all the aspects playing an important role in people’s lives.
