People often say that the good poems for you, children, could be written on the tip of a pin. And as you already know, pin indeed is a tiny little thing. Looking for a jolly poem is like searching for a needle in a haystack. But don’t worry. This book has it all. The poet Ctibor Štítnický was indeed a creative man – he liked joking and larking around, creating all sorts of puns and adventures, because it lightened up his day and he felt as cheerful as a boy who
just started his holidays. He didn’t visit his grandmother, neither did he go to the sea. Instead he visited countries with all kinds of strange names – one of them called Veršovník, another one Slovíčkovo or Rýmovany. He brought home some real treasures – poem lines for both children and adults, to all those who love animals, nature and everything beautiful this world has to offer. He also remembered those of you who like solving riddles and unusual tasks.
