The author Anton Habovštiak dedicated his literary life to myths and collecting and rewriting Slovak tales. In fact, one of his first books is a collection of Slovak tales, Tri víly na salaši, which was last published more than 50 years ago. The classic writer Anton Habovštiak collected his tales primarily from the region of Orava, which he knew intimately as he was born there. The tales feature classic tale characters, portrayed in a more subtle and humane way. The heroes are brave young heroes, wits, but also liars and cheats, beautiful fairies and princesses. His offer of Slovak tales truly beams over with dynamic literary characters. Despite their considerable age, the tales certainly did not lose their charm. Quite the opposite, the beautiful language and experiencing the nature of Orava radiates charming beauty and a subtle sentiment of the old times. The book of the already deceased author Anton Habovštiak, Tri víly na salaši, is a pleasant read not only for the young readers.
